FAQ

Cooling & AC Questions

Aluminum or plastic-tank radiator?

For most modern vehicles, plastic-tank is OE β€” replace with same. Older cars with all-metal radiators can be upgraded to aluminum for better cooling.

R-134a or R-1234yf?

Most cars 2015 and newer use R-1234yf. Older vehicles use R-134a. Don't mix β€” they're not compatible. We'll match your system.

Should I replace the water pump with the timing belt?

Almost always yes. The labor is already done, and a failed water pump can take out the timing belt. Most timing kits include a water pump.

Do you sell refrigerant?

Yes β€” both R-134a and R-1234yf in stock. R-1234yf requires EPA Section 609 certification to purchase in cans.
